*10-YOU ARE HERE
(Mindy Johnson)

I remember a time back when
Life was easier than this mess I’m livin’ in
My days were filled with laughter and with smiles
Those days are gone with once upon a time

Just when I think I have come up for air
Life has beat me down again
My journey's long and my journey is tough
When will you Lord say I have had enough?

Chorus

Then I reach for you to hold me
Close my eyes and you are here
I feel your hand brush against my cheek
You gently wipe away my tears
And I know you are here

Now I go to the source of strength
Because the strength in me is gone
I would cry but I have nothing left
I'm empty Lord, I’m empty come and rescue me

Chorus

Then I reach for you to hold me
Close my eyes and you are here
I feel your hand brush against my cheek
You gently wipe away my tears
And I know you are here

And I know you are here, you are here, you are here

Behind the Song

If you haven't been in a place where you are physically, emotionally, spiritually, perhaps financially exhausted...maybe you know of someone who has had that experience.

Someone in my family went through a very, very difficult time in her life.  Bankruptcy, marriage on the rocks, she felt like she was being pushed down, drowning...and in the very moment when she thought she had respite, a moment of relief from it all...BAM!  Life came at her...hard.  Again.  And again.

The life she once knew as simple, easy, fun, full of smiles and laughter, was beaten to an unrecognizable pulp of depression, loneliness, helplessness, hopelessness...

and in her tears she reached out for Jesus.

Not for answers.
She was too tired for that.
She had no strength left.
She was empty, completely empty.
She just wanted held.
And when she came to that point, that moment when that was all that she wanted, she felt her Lord...holding her.

And He was there.  He is here.  Always.
